Error Building Drivers
The easiest way to resolve this issue is to simply "update" AccuRIP and try again. Visit the download page on this website to get the latest version. Please contact us so we can help.
Vista and Windows 7
With these two versions Microsoft has introduced a feature called "User Account Control" (UAC). Even if you are logged with Administrative privileges the OS still blocks many installation and driver building functions. If trouble continues, some users choose to turn OFF UAC in the security section of the control panel. Others can try to "right click" the program icon and choose "run as administrator". This sometimes allows the operation to complete.
AccuRIP build "printer drivers" and the UAC blocks these additions to the OS. Error 2 and Error 5 .dll are two known issues that a user may incur when using an older AccuRIP installer.
Windows XP error 5.dll when building a driver
Windows users that experience this error when building a driver from the SetupWizard or SETUP window either have a security setting, are not the admin of the login space or have installed AccuRIP to a driver other than the C drive. Another hint is that no print shows up in the AccuRIP print Queue when the user chooses TEST Print from the File Menu in AccuRIP.
