Resetting the USB Drivers

"When in doubt, wipe it out":

By this we mean "print drivers" not the AccuRIP software.

AccuRIP is very easy software install and manage. Being a driver based RIP the most important thing is that the driver is properly configured to the printer. AccuRIP will setup the driver properly as long as the user has selected the proper connection in the SETUP. Some users manually change ports settings which creates issues and confusion. So we say "when in doubt, wipe it out". This is the best way to ensure a proper connection.

A wide range of print issues stem from bad driver configuration, corrupted print drivers or interference from other printer drivers that steal port services. Before spending time investigating or reporting a print issue do the following.

  1. Be sure you are using the newest version of AccuRIP. Check your version number (build), if needed download an update to the newest version from this website.
  2. From your System Control Panel or System Preferences delete the "AccuRIP to Epson" driver and your "Epson" driver.
  3. Unplug the printer USB cable from the computer, wait 5 seconds then plug it back in. Your computer should build a NEW Epson printer driver.
  4. Open AccuRIP and from the File Menu choose SETUP.
  5. Configure AccuRIP to your printer, give special attention to the "connection". Choose local, Windows user click "show all ports" and make sure Windows is directed to the USB port for the Epson printer. Mac automatically sets the "local" USB connection.
  6. Click OK to close the SETUP window. AccuRIP displays a message telling you that the print driver was successfully installed.
  7. Restart your computer and print.
